Yesterday, Jeff, Trevan, and I went strolling through Salt Lake City Cemetery. It's a huge burial ground, and we walked around for most of the afternoon.
The majority of people buried there were members of the LDS church, including several past presidents of the church, such as this headstone for John Taylor (president number three).
Many of the older headstones had multiple wives listed. And something sad that was also very common was the large number of infants laid to rest.
We also happened to see a couple Suttons. Possibly distant relatives?
Walking around the cemetery wasn't morbid or depressing at all. In fact, it was a reminder of how fortunate I am to be alive, here and now.
