Today is John's birthday, so last night, we went out to celebrate. It began with dinner at a sports bar/restaurant downtown called The Skybox. By the way, if Ryan and Katie went to prom, this is what their picture would look like.
And, as Utah State Law requires, they'd be engaged the next day.
But anyway, back to the birthday festivities. After dinner, we went to the Tavernacle, a piano bar that's always a good time.
So many people came out to help John celebrate, many of whom I hadn't seen in a long time.
The highlight of the evening was when John was called to dance on top of the piano. The song of choice? "It's Raining Men!" Priceless.
We hung out at the Tavernacle until 1-ish, and then went to Brian and Ryan's house for cake and, um, liquor. Since I drove, I kept my drinking to a minimum, but all the socialising and dancing and general merriment easily kept me (and everyone else) entertained and in good spirits.
As an added bonus, I've included a nice little video of John's performance last night. The girl who's walking away in the very beginning had just stuck a dollar bill in John's pants. Who knew having a birthday could be so lucrative? Happy Birthday, John!

John was sooo hot. The best dancer to get up that night. Thanks for the video clip.
