...yet so far away.

I looked online today to find out my test scores for promotion, and they were pretty good; but the truly heartbreaking news was that I was the number three non-selectee. I can't help but think if I had actually picked up a book and studied, or if I hadn't been hung over or lacked sleep, that I might have a line number right now. I guess I'll never know. This will definitely prompt me to study for next year. I hope.
